Safety is the foundation of how Kargoza Logistics operates. Every shipment, every driver, and every piece of equipment is held to documented safety standards that meet or exceed federal requirements. Our program is built around prevention — proper training, well-maintained equipment, and consistent oversight — so that cargo arrives intact and drivers go home safe.
Our Safety Commitment
Safety is not a department at Kargoza; it is built into dispatch, equipment selection, driver onboarding, and the way we communicate with shippers. Our About Us page covers the broader values; this page describes the specific standards we apply to keep freight, drivers, and the public protected on every load.
Driver Standards
Every driver operating under our authority or on our behalf holds a valid commercial driver’s license with the appropriate endorsements, a current medical certificate, and a verified driving record. New drivers complete a structured onboarding process that covers company policy, hours-of-service rules, defensive driving, and the specific handling requirements of the freight they will haul. Ongoing training refreshes these topics and updates drivers on regulatory changes, with additional coaching after any preventable incident.
Equipment Maintenance
Tractors and trailers are inspected on a scheduled basis using a documented preventive maintenance program. Daily driver walk-arounds catch issues before equipment leaves the yard, and periodic inspections cover brakes, tires, lighting, coupling systems, and refrigeration units on refrigerated trailers. Out-of-service defects are corrected before the equipment returns to revenue service. For FTL and dry van operations, the same standard applies to trailer condition, door seals, and load securement equipment.
Regulatory Compliance
Kargoza operates in full compliance with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations, including driver qualification files, hours-of-service rules, drug and alcohol testing, and electronic logging device (ELD) requirements. We monitor CSA (Compliance, Safety, Accountability) scores across BASIC categories and act on any data trend that suggests risk. Records are kept current and available for review by authorized parties.
Insurance & Claims
Our company carries primary liability, cargo, and non-trucking liability insurance at levels that meet or exceed federal minimums and that we can raise based on shipper requirements. Certificates of insurance are available on request. When damage or loss does occur, our claims process is straightforward: report the issue, share the documentation we request, and we keep you updated through resolution.
Continuous Improvement
Safety programs are reviewed on a regular schedule and updated when regulations, equipment, or operating conditions change. Driver feedback, telematics data, post-trip inspections, and incident reviews all feed back into the program. The goal is not just to meet a standard once, but to keep raising it.
