Expedited Freight

Time-critical expedited freight with guaranteed delivery.

Expedited freight is for shipments that cannot wait for a standard dispatch window. When a machine line is down, a customer is out of stock, or a regulatory deadline is hours away, Kargoza puts a dedicated truck and a driver (often a two-person team) on the road with a guaranteed delivery commitment.

What Expedited Means

Expedited service is a charter, not a linehaul. We dispatch a specific piece of equipment to your pickup, assign a driver or driver team, and commit to a delivery window. The freight does not transfer between terminals and does not sit on a dock waiting for the next outbound trailer. From pickup the truck is moving toward the destination.

Team Drivers

On long lanes a single driver is limited by Hours of Service (HOS) regulations. A team driver alternates behind the wheel so the truck is in motion up to 22 hours per day. A 2,500-mile lane that would take a solo driver 4-5 days typically runs 36-48 hours as a team move.

When to Use Expedited

Expedited is the right mode when the cost of a late shipment exceeds the cost of the premium freight. Common triggers include:

  • Production-line downtime where every hour costs thousands of dollars.
  • Customer-facing stockouts on a critical SKU.
  • Hot-shot repair parts for an industrial site, utility, or military installation.
  • Medical device and pharmaceutical emergencies require a documented chain-of-custody.
  • Trade show, event, and product-rollout deadlines that cannot slip.

For small urgent shipments under 500 lbs that do not need a full trailer, we can also move them on an LTL expedited rate with a next-flight-out handoff to a local courier.

Service Levels

We offer three tiers of expedited service:

  • Same-day for regional moves under ~500 miles with pickup before noon.
  • Next-day for most U.S. lanes under 1,000 miles.
  • Team-driver 2-3 day for coast-to-coast moves that would otherwise take a week.

Each tier comes with a written delivery window and a recovery plan if weather, traffic, or mechanical events delay the truck.

Coverage and Equipment

Kargoza dispatches expedited across all 48 contiguous states. Equipment options include:

  • 53′ dry van (most common).
  • Refrigerated trailer for time-critical cool-chain loads.
  • Sprinter vans and straight trucks for smaller expedited moves.

For dedicated long-term capacity, our Full Truckload service is the right model. Expedited is for one-off, time-bounded moves.

24/7 Dispatch and Communication

Expedited freight does not stop at 5 p.m. Our dispatch team monitors every expedited load 24/7. You receive:

  • The driver’s name and direct cell number at pickup.
  • ETA refreshes at every stop and every HOS break.
  • Immediate notification of any event that affects the delivery window.
  • POD and BOL delivered electronically the second the freight is unloaded.

Communication is built in, not billed as an accessorial.

When the shipment cannot be late, expedited freight is the answer. Send us the origin, destination, equipment, and required delivery time, and we will return a committed window and a recovery plan within the hour.

Frequently asked questions

How fast can you dispatch an expedited truck?

On most major lanes we can have a truck at your dock in 1-2 hours from booking. For remote origin or destination, plan on 2-4 hours.

Do you offer a money-back guarantee?

Yes. If we miss the committed delivery window for reasons within our control, the freight cost is reduced per the service-level terms. Weather, traffic, and Acts of God are excluded.

Can you air-freight instead?

Yes. For very small urgent packages we coordinate airline-to-courier handoffs. For palletized freight over 250 lbs, ground expedited on a team-driver truck is usually faster door-to-door and far cheaper than air.

How is expedited priced?

By lane, mileage, equipment, and required transit time. Team-driver rates are higher than solo because two drivers share the load. We will quote all options so you can pick the right cost-vs-speed trade-off.
